Flights:

We've secured a deal with Hawaiian Airlines for a discount on all flights to Honolulu through their Wedding Wings program! Here are the details:

The Wedding Wings discount offers 5% off the lowest available rountrip transpacific web fares at time of applicable booking period. The discount is valid for travel between 8/18/2007 through 9/8/2007, and is available through this website:

We hope the discount helps. You may also want to check other airlines that offer direct flights to Hawaii, including ATA (think Southwest of the pacific) and United. It may also be a good time to use those miles you've been saving.

The peak travel season "officially" ends on Monday, August 27 - meaning that prices for plane tickets and hotel rooms drop dramatically. Just something you may want to consider when planning your trip.

Hotel:

Because it is the peak travel season, the Kahala is not able to offer discounts for our guests. You may be able to find lower rates for rooms at the Kahala through third party booking agencies Panda Travel or Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays, who get special bulk rates from the Kahala. Of course, you are free to stay at whichever hotel you please. The Kahala is about 10 minutes from the tourist mecca of Waikiki, which probably has the highest density of hotels outside of Vegas.

You will usually get a better deal by booking some sort of package (air/hotel/car). Some companies may also offer seasonal sales. But as we have mentioned before, this is the peak travel period, so the sooner you make your travel plans, the better!

Interisland Travel:

For those of you wanting to explore the other islands while you are out there, Go! (Mesa Airlines) and Hawaiian Air both offer interisland flights. You may also want to try the new Hawaii Superferry, which is scheduled to begin operation in July!
